D. Cooley, President and Chief Executive Officer of High Real
Estate Group LLC, leads a regionally-recognized, full-service
real estate, hotel, and construction firm with offices and managed
assets in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, South
Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Under
Mr. Cooley's guidance, High Real Estate Group’s team of more than
600 currently manages a portfolio of more than 2,200 apartment
units, ten hotels, and nearly 6 million square feet of industrial
and commercial properties, annually serves as general contractor
of $60,000,000+ in construction sales, and handles in excess of
$50,000,000 in brokerage transactions.
Mr.
Cooley began his career in real estate in 1986 as the vice president
of development and acquisitions for High Associates Ltd. and in
1989, became vice president of commercial asset management.
In 1991, Mr. Cooley was promoted to executive assistant to the
chairman and president of High Industries Inc. He continued
to serve on the Advisory Board of High Associates and earned
his Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute
of Real Estate Management in 1992. In 1995, Mr. Cooley was
named High Industries' senior vice president and president
of High Real Estate Group LLC with responsibility for directing
each of its related companies — High Associates Ltd., High
Construction Company, Greenfield Architects Ltd., High Hotels
Ltd., and High Investors Ltd. — as well as the numerous
partnerships in which the High family holds real estate assets. In
2006, Mr. Cooley was named President & CEO of High Real Estate
Group LLC. He also serves as co-chair of the Executive
Committee of The High Companies, which now comprises High Industries
Inc. and High Real Estate Group LLC.
Mr. Cooley is active in business and community activities through his leadership roles in various associations and organizations. Mr. Cooley currently serves on several boards including the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County, Elizabethtown College, The Lancaster Alliance, and Hospice of Lancaster County. Past Board service includes The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster General Medical Group, United Way of Lancaster County, Lancaster-York Heritage Region, and the Pennsylvania Dutch Council Boy Scouts of America.
Having
earned a B.S. in Business and Management from the University
of Maryland, Mr. Cooley also holds a Masters in Health Services
Administration from the University of Michigan.
